Pregnancy is much more than a biological process, starting from conception which is far from simple and obvious.
According to experts, in fact, the chances of conceiving for a healthy, fertile and of optimal age couple are about one in five every month.
There are many difficulties and obstacles to overcome during the attempt at conception, starting from the cervical mucus, to the egg itself which must be receptive, up to the sperm which can sometimes be lazy or damaged. In addition to all this, there is also a very short window of opportunity for conception (just a few days a month).
Then, once these first obstacles have been overcome, the egg that has been successfully fertilized will have to face other difficulties, i.e. it will have to overcome the cell division and the implantation of the embryo in the uterine wall, until it reaches 40 weeks of gestation, when the baby will finally be born.
This explains why a pregnancy is defined as a “miracle“. It encompasses not only those changes that are visible, on a physical level; but also and above all, more hidden changes, on an emotional and psychological level and of course concerning the growth of the fetus in the womb.

Moreover, do not forget another precious treasure inside the womb: your baby’s umbilical cord. It is a very rich source of stem cells, which are collected in the first minutes after birth, thanks to a totally safe and painless process for both mother and baby.
